HealthAchieve 2010
The ask: Hosted by the Ontario Hospital Association (OHA), HealthAchieve is North America’s largest tradeshow and exhibition. BlueSky Communications was engaged to:
- Increase awareness of HealthAchieve amongst the health-care audience.
- Develop innovative story angles to entice mainstream media to cover the show.
- Create a tool for hospital communicators to promote the show to hospital staff.
- Provide support on social media activities throughout the three-day event.
The solution: The strategy was two pronged:
- BlueSky implemented a media and community relations campaign designed to raise the profile of HealthAchieve as the leading health-care show and a must-attend for anyone working in the health-care profession.
- BlueSky provided social media support including live tweeting of the event and regular Facebook and LinkedIn updates.
The result: HealthAchieve continues to be a leading health-care event in Canada attracting thousands of health care and business leaders from around the world. Ensuring a strong PR focus as part of the marketing mix meant that HealthAchieve was also able to maintain revenues in a recession year. Specific PR results included:
- Over 16 opportunities to submit byline articles.
- Mainstream coverage of the show from media such as CTV News and the Daily Planet.
- An increase of Twitter followers during the three days of the show alone to 500.
