Cathy-Anne has been doing the PR-thing for almost 20 years, earning her chops through a combination of multinational agency and client roles. But it’s her entrepreneurial passion for building a business and working collaboratively with a brilliant team, that keeps life exciting. Working alongside her sister, co-BlueSky owner Julie McCarthy, Cathy-Anne lives in The Beach with her three children and husband.
Coming from a ‘big agency’ advertising background, Julie made the switch to PR when she joined her sister to launch BlueSky in 2002 with one overall goal in mind: build a great business. As long as it offered freedom, adventure, impact, security and relevancy on most days, then she was on track. Julie also draws inspiration from her two young boys and husband, who live in The Beach in Toronto.
A savvy PR strategist who has been in the business for almost a decade, Sarah provides clients with unique insight and big-picture thinking when recommending a communications strategy. As a long-term BlueSky team member, Sarah is one of the reasons our clients stay with us for years. Sarah is raising two young daughters with her husband in Toronto, and can be found on weekends frequenting farmers markets in the city’s east end.
With a well-rounded background in marketing, integrated communications and magazine publishing, Federica brings proven skills to our content strategy, branding, and creative. An award-winning editor and writer extraordinaire, she has a passion for combining words and images that tell a better story. A fan of the food and drink scene in any city, she’s always dreaming up her next travel adventure.
Tara has quickly become our media relations superstar at BlueSky – cultivating a network of key journalists who’ve come to rely on her for great story ideas. With a background in advertising and public relations, she has a passion for brand storytelling. Always exploring various parts of the city, Tara can usually be spotted with a camera in one hand and her French bulldog in the other.
Jarred is our designer for hire. Creative genius, modestly sarcastic and a fanboy of good design. From strategy and brand development to print and digital design, his work can be as fun as you like or buttoned-down and professional. Whatever you want your brand to say, Jarred captures it to perfection. As a father of four and husband of one, Jarred’s creativity is never exhausted.
Kevin Morrison has 17 years of media and analyst relations. With a reputation as a “heavy hitter” he finds joy in telling great stories to the media and watch them take on a life of their own. Kevin is married with two daughters and lives and plays in Toronto’s beach community.
Accredited in Public Relations (APR), Sophie has over 20 years experience in communications and a background that spans the health, corporate and tourism industries. She has coordinated numerous award-winning public relations and awareness campaigns, and has a unique talent for helping clients meet their goals in a highly creative way. An active community member and co-founder of the Greater Montreal Sea Scouts, Sophie finds daily inspiration in her two children.
