Navacord
Internal Communications During Rapid Growth
The Challenge
Through a series of M&A and organic growth, Navacord was expanding quickly in pursuit of its vision of building the great Canadian brokerage.
With employees and brokers spread across multiple regions, Navacord partnered with BlueSky to develop an internal communications strategy that would build shared purpose, strengthen engagement, improve information sharing, and support the company’s continued growth.
The Strategy – What BlueSky Did
BlueSky began by conducting an internal communications audit to better understand how information was flowing across the organization and where there were opportunities to improve clarity and consistency.
We worked closely with Navacord’s founders, senior leadership team, and the heads of HR, IT, and marketing to identify key audiences and communication priorities. From there, we developed an internal communications plan designed to support leadership messaging and create a stronger sense of shared purpose across the organization.
The work included a messaging framework for key stakeholders, media training for executives, and practical tools to support day-to-day communications. BlueSky also created an onboarding communications toolkit for new employees and Broker Partners, complete with email templates, press release templates, and other resources, along with a content calendar to help maintain regular internal updates.
The Results
The initiative gave Navacord a clear structure for internal communications as the company continued to grow:
- Internal communications audit and strategy
- Executive messaging framework and media training
- Onboarding communications toolkit for new employees and Broker Partners
- Content calendar and templates to support regular internal updates
The Impact
The result was a more streamlined approach to sharing information and best practices across Navacord’s national network. Clearer messaging and consistent internal communications equipped the organization to keep employees and broker partners aligned as it continues to expand.
